Physician Quality Reporting Initiative
From July 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007;
physicians can participate in a voluntary initiative on reporting quality
measurements to Medicare with some financial reward for participation. This
initiative has some aspects that are similar to Medicare’s approach to the
hospital measurement approach but also has many distinguishing components
that all providers need to be aware of and be tracking.
