COMPDATA CAN SUBMIT CORE MEASURES FOR KHA HOSPITALS

Hospitals are required to use a measurement vendor to meet their reporting requirements.  Measurement vendors must submit core measurement statistics to JCAHO each quarter.  JCAHO will then calculate national standards and provide national standards for each measurement to vendors, to be shared with their hospital customers in comparative reports and graphs.   

Each of the focus areas include multiple measurements and require the collection of administrative data and unique patient care indicators.  JCAHO is working with CMS to add another focus area on surgical site infections and intervention approaches.
